20x20x1 Reusable Furnace Filter for Home Review

Whatever you see in these reviews, they are ridiculous to believe. I checked the static pressure on the filter in my duct system and the drop across the filter was only 0.1 inch. It's phenomenal! This Merv 11 filter is safe to use in all HVAC systems as long as you pull it out every 10 fans. Let it run for days and wash thoroughly. Just installed and tried out this washable K&N filter. So far the airflow seems to be good. I'm sure it gets worse as the filter absorbs more, but I'm more than able to clean it and have spares to use while it dries. It's very well made, just like the K&N filters we use in our cars. The 20 x 20 size was perfect for our ceiling register which actually measures 19.5 x 19.5 inches where the filter is mounted. repeated cleaning, it is significantly heavier than a conventional disposable filter. Since the register housing is lower than the filter frame, the filter can move when the fan is switched on and off. 9/19/20 - Two filters installed, ordered today. I needed the perfect air handler gasket, so I added a 3/4" x 5/16" Frost King foam rubber gasket. I'm not sure what effect MERV 11 filters will have on fan motor airflow restrictions over time since that information is unavailable, but we'll see. These are smaller filters than regular 20x20 filters. When mounting to the ceiling, make sure the fan is running so it doesn't slip when the lid is closed. Unfortunately, the fan falls down when switched off and hits the lid. To overcome this I 3D printed a 10mm corner mount which I double sided glued to the corner of the filter. I clean air ducts for my job so I am confident in getting a quality air filter that does not restrict airflow which can cause other problems. The Merv 11 is great because it doesn't restrict airflow. The first thing I did was elevate this filter with a light/lamp about 5 feet away from me. I could see the light but nothing on the other side of the filter which usually means it has good density.
