We used these remote controlled battery operated candles for Harry Potter's birthday party. Remember that you need two double A batteries for each candle. Buy these in advance and you can use them immediately. While not very bright, they are bright enough to mimic the light from a candle like in the Harry Potter films. I would buy them again in a heartbeat as I was very pleased with how they looked and performed.

remote works great. You need to understand that this is infrared radiation, so the candle needs to "see" the remote control. I've been using them about 6 hours a day for maybe 2 weeks and haven't had to change the batteries yet. The only thing wrong is they don't fit the candle holders I was planning to use them in, but it's not Homememories' fault I didn't measure them. They aren't as bright as window candles, but I wasn't expecting that either. In general I am quite satisfied.

Great for Halloween! The remote control worked great as we didn't have to turn off individual lights at night. Easy to hang for "floating candles" decoration. Battery life seems decent. We hung them up and left them on for a few hours every night towards the end of October. As long as we turned off the lights before bed, the batteries lasted all Halloween. You need to put 2 AA batteries in each candle, so take that into account in your setup. Otherwise very happy with this product! As expected

Pretty good for the price. I used them to make Harry Potter floating candles. I ended up cutting 2 small slits opposite in the top of the candle, above the threaded screw. I did this so I could thread my line through them so the candles hang straight and don't lean to one side. In the end it worked fine. They haven't caught me yet either. However, I would like them to look a little more realistic. You could do this by adding more droplets on the sides or making the flames less big and unwieldy.

I love these lights. They look exactly like you would expect from plastic candles, but that doesn't matter at all; they are just wonderful! You can adjust the intensity of the shimmering effect by how much you twist it, so it couldn't be easier.
