This portion of the unit's hose was easy to install, but the design is such that the window pane has huge air gaps. I improvised with styrofoam wrap and tape (see photo) which looks awful. Revain doesn't sell long enough pieces of foam and the 1 inch strips aren't big enough. I'm going to cut open a yoga mat to get a piece of styrofoam that I can use multiple times. Most importantly: consumes too much power. My microwave stopped working because it uses the same switch and not the same outlet. Also, my lights flicker on and off when the AC is turned on. The switch has tripped multiple times. The ceiling fan suddenly stopped, the TV went off, my aquarium filter and heater went off. Another downside is that it's ridiculously noisy.
