The vacuum switch was on my original he280 humidifier. I needed a new filter anyway so I bought the whole block right away. Saved me time and money. I hope for another 5 years before it breaks. If you want a humidifier that will last longer, go elsewhere.

It will be a fantastic purchase to begin with but once you hit the 2 year mark it will fail. The solenoid will be stuck open and good luck finding a replacement that will be less than the original purchase price of the entire unit. If you are willing to replace the entire unit every 2 years, this humidifier is for you! If not, stay away.

This humidifier is well constructed. It humidifies my 2,400 square foot home in Nebraska, where dry, cold air tends to dry out my skin. The hygrostat is extremely accurate and reliably delivers the humidity within a few percentage points of the setting. It was relatively easy to install with clear instructions. Excellent price.

Works as described. I like that it works without being tied to the oven's power supply. Uses air pressure to turn on a solenoid valve that lets in water. I installed a return humidifier and hygrostat to prevent water from entering the furnace controls. Installed in about 8 hours over two days but I wasn't in a hurry.

The instructions for this thing aren't very good, but the installation was fine. Runs and works as it should. I don't know its real effectiveness, but we already have less static electricity. I don't know if the temperature is more comfortable, but maybe it will be more noticeable in the next heating season.

Had to replace a 25 year old Honeywell unit. This block fits snugly with very little difference from what I pulled out, except this one has a pressure switch for the vacuum port. Don't think it adds value and a bit of neck pain. The humidifier would not turn on without a connection. I don't see the point that it wasn't in the old block and it worked perfectly.

Seemingly simple design. The device is made of plastic, so be careful. but once installed it shouldn't be a problem. I haven't gotten much feedback on Unis so they seem to work as advertised. No steam humidifier. It looks like an old swamp cooler. It pumps water through a grid mat installed in the device, along which air flows. The water is routed to the sewer in the existing water supply network of the house. Does not recycle water.

I like the humidifier so far and the insulation has been pretty smooth. I can't comment on how well the product works as it doesn't get hot. The only problem I have is the filter. The filter on the left of the photo is the one that came with the humidifier. I was curious as to why it was brown with some new scaling out of the box. I contacted Honeywell and they said it should be white like the replacement filter I bought separately as you can see in the photo an all white replacement. Revain…

The product is working and the humidity in my 5000 square foot home seems to have increased by about 8%. My issue with this block is that it is very cheaply built. Weak plastic constructions that I can see will become brittle in the years to come. It attaches to the camera with four screws, with no gaskets or anything to prevent air leaks.
