🌞 Honeywell UV100A1059: Enhance Your Environment with UV Surface Treatment System Review

We have been using UVC air conditioners for over 10 years. This replaced an older model that had finally died out after almost 10 years. We chose these because our trusted HVAC friend said they were the most reliable of all who installed them and compatible with many 3rd party UV bulbs. Why do you need a UV lamp? They kill a huge spectrum of germs/viruses/bacteria in the air drawn through your HVAC system.

Installed in a HVAC duct in July 2020. I just checked the unit this fall and noticed the check engine light is off. I assumed the light bulb went out (less than 6 months later). I couldn't get the lamp socket to test so I removed the whole block and found that there was an arc and the lamp and block were destroyed. I'm lucky it didn't start a fire. It is very difficult to contact anyone from Honeywell. to replace the warranty. So it's left for me to post this negative review in the hope that it

I was expecting great results from the Honeywell UV Air Treatment System. Today I asked a very reputable heat and air supply company to install a UV 100 A 1059 surface treatment unit but it does not work even after I installed the extra lamp I ordered as recommended. The voltage across the contacts was 90 on one and 106 volts on the second with 3 and 4 nothing which is probably neutral. I installed in the air collector at the outlet of the air conditioning coils. Was the best place for me. Reduced mold formation in the condensate drain. I don't do microbiological testing but is easy to install (2 screw holes and 1 larger center lamp hole that I cut out).
