Grinding wheel plus this pad == aggressive, fast grinding

Fits standard grinders. Holds paper well. Works very aggressively, shaping and removing wood. Works much better than a random orbit sander for aggressive sanding because the sander is designed for that. Buy this and save yourself the random orbital sander for the actual finishing; I ruined a really good ROS by using it to sculpt.

Pros
  • 5/8-11 metal female thread
Cons
  • Drill kit

Ideal for mechanically grinding large wooden shells on a lathe.

To grind the bowl I use a Milwaukee 8 amp, 1/2" drill at 850 RPM and a lathe at 175-200 RPM with Mirka discs. For a male thread grinder you will also need a 5/8" 11 shank adapter. The upside is that the grind can be done quickly. The downside is there is so much dust on it that you MUST have good dust extraction and a full face respirator I use Trend Airshield Pro, which does the job perfectly.

Pros
  • 5" diameter
Cons
  • Expensive

Very convenient! The best of Velcro discs

This product is amazing! I rarely go back to write reviews but this one deserves it. Great price to start with, the time you save is worth double or more. I use this on my Milwaukee angle grinder, easy to install and remove every time. I first bought this 7 months ago to sand down a mesquite slab (pictured), it was the cheapest way I could think of and it worked great! It took a while to get a smooth finish as this is a mesquite stone cut with a chainsaw. The result was amazing, I've used it on

Pros
  • Ideal for grinders, grinders and power tools
Cons
  • Small parts
