Good for soap making

Used to make pine tar soap, never tried a batch or even heard of it until now, hellish smell although like smoked molasses but everyone says it must smell good, the smell blew me away Stomach a bit lol

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Repair

Sticky, thick and smells good to me

I used tar for my first experience with hot worked soap and I love how my soap turned out. Try not to get it on your hands, it's hard to wash off, maybe wear gloves. The plastic container I used could not be cleaned. I'll use the same can next time

Pros
  • Great to me
Cons
  • Appearance

Pure Pine Tar - Other Sports

Never worked with Pine Tar. First time using it. Aroma - smoky molasses. The texture of molasses is toffee, sticky and soft. I make soap and was asked to make pine resin soap. Difficult to clean afterwards. Soak in hot water, then pat dry with paper towels. Coconut oil also helps loosen and wash away tar.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • Nothing here

Excellent Eczema Soap

I love pine tar, have made eczema soap and can't wait to get cut. I usually do this for some of my clients. For those who make soap, I make a regular batch of light trace soap and melt the pine nut with super fat, then add as a post trace additive, stirring rather than mixing. I add pine essential oil and mint essential oil.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Crumpled

This material is too thick for my use.

I use it on my horses' hooves. I've never had one so thick and hard to get out of the can or swab in all my years. I was shocked when I tried to use the brush and it felt like hitting the wall. I am doing my best as I needed it badly but will not order again. It might be perfect for someone who makes soap and heats it up, but not for me.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Almost never

Multiple uses, not just for horse health

I have bought coffee from another brand before and wasn't satisfied, it looked like dark brewed coffee in color and consistency. This pine sap is thick like heavy fat, so you can dilute it however you like. I applied some diluted with boiled linseed oil to a wooden lawn chair, applied a heat gun and wiped off the excess (the heat gun hammers it into the wood). I now have a gorgeous dark honey colored waterproof chair that is very pleasing to the eye!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Empty

If you are thinking of making pine tar soap DO NOT

This resin will lubricate your car. he is so fat it cannot be melted down. . I've seen other brands poured out of a can like syrup but not this one. If you're thinking of making pine tar soap, DON'T DO IT, I've never had such a mess to clean up ie. I used half the glass and couldn't pour the other half. and it's expensive. There are other brands out there that pour like butter out of a can, do me a favor, save your sanity, buy a bar of tar soap for like $4 or $5. it's way cheaper than this…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Quality
