Great price but very poor quality

I tried a few of these to find one that provided a good fit for the female end of the adapter. I ended up having to spend more money and get a higher quality fork. I think if you were using this item in a situation where the cables connected to the adapter never moved, that might be fine, but in my case, the disconnection caused a signal as the product was subject to movement . Dripping and/or loud popping in speakers. I'm always looking for a good price with acceptable quality in the products…

Quality bracket for front input/output connectors.

A very nice item if you have a front output jack (like the hollow bodied ES model) and chrome parts. Looks great on my Epi Casino and Gibson ES-335. The end of the receiver sticks out far enough - about 1/8 inch - above the surface of your output jack that you don't have to worry about damaging the surface, and of course it keeps the amplifier cable close to the housing and through the jack. Belt. This really helps avoid snagging on other devices and limits the big loop you get with straight…

  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Remanufactured

I was hopeful at first - they seem very heavy and strong and make a nice crisp click when you plug the cable in. But after just a few weeks of use in my speaker box, one of them has lost most of the tension holding the speaker wire and barely holding the 1/4 inch cable in place. The handle is light enough that the weight of the cable + vibration can cause it to fall out. I'm glad I noticed this as a disconnected cable can destroy my tube amp - if the load (speaker) is disconnected while…

Great for tight spaces

I wanted to love them for their super simplicity but in the end I just stopped using them because none of the 4 I bought were straight and neither were no matter how much each of these guitar pedals was twisted, I couldn't lay my pedals flat on the board. I'm in a tight space and my desk is so small that I have pedals on my recorder and everything behind my computer monitor. I wonder if there is another brand whose quality control meets my expectations better. I'm not saying this is a "bad"…

Right price, right idea, bad quality

Bought 3 pieces in one order. Everything came in one package. Bought these over the competition because "the knurled metal ones look better than the plastic coated versions of the competition and therefore feel more durable than the plastic coated versions." Appearances can be deceiving. Immediately upon arrival, all three had inconsistent inputs; That said, when I tested my main guitar cable on all three, one fit perfectly, one a little loose, and the third so loose that the cable could fall…

Good idea, good looks, good price, worse quality

How can a recognizable brand like HOSA not be able to judge the quality of such a simple product? I bought 5 of these and 3 of them broke down with minimal use at home. The first to fail began to short out with a simple press. I contacted Revain and had it replaced. The replacement didn't work; There was a separate issue where the guitar plug just didn't fit all the way in, so I contacted HOSA and asked for a replacement because I didn't want Revane to think I was trying to violate their return

  • Decent performance

Poor quality but they can be made to work in a pinch

A recent trend in guitar pedals is to put input and output jacks on top. This makes sense as the old left-right layout took up a lot of space when the pedals were linked. However, if your first pedal has top connectors, you will need to bend the guitar cable 180 degrees unless you are standing with the pedals behind you. Yes you can use a right angle plug cable but I have some expensive low capacity cables that don't have right angles so these adapters are great when they work. They used to…

  • Almost never

I've had trouble getting these adapters to connect reliably. Without them they are useless. And yes, I snapped them into place. Believe me. Judging by many other reviews I was not alone. And I'm willing to bet others with this problem are firmly in place too. trust them I considered just throwing mine away and buying another product but it seemed like a waste of time. So I looked into the problem and came up with the following solution, which was passed as an instruction. Just three simple…
