The manufacturer claims the clamp is designed for 1.75" bars, but this is not the case. Inserts built in. To install the 1.75" stem I had to remove the top rubber insert which then resulted in metal contact/damage. Instead, I removed the top and bottom rubber inserts and made my own to make the 2.0" collar smaller. The correct size is 1.75 inches. In general I do not recommend. Many other clip manufacturers on the market worry about getting the wrong clip or a poorly designed product.

This rod clip is strong and well made. Unfortunately the size is MUCH wrong. My steering wheel is exactly 1.75 inches. Attempting to use the only rubber pad that comes with this mount makes the mount seem too small. I used a C-vise to try and squeeze the rubber to get the screws in. NO WAY! Should not be returned. First of all, the excellent price-performance ratio. I was impressed with the quality of one of these but the rubber pads that came with them are also fantastic which I have used. I bought these to route my bike fog lights to the fork tubes and ended up using a second set to install the rails.
