The screen is not very bright.

I don't know what the S mode actually does, except that you can't download programs like Quickbooks. Screen brightness is not very good. Older eyes need brighter screens! I wish it had a numeric keypad. But can live without l.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Modernity

Worthy for what I need it for.

Great little computer. It works very well for my school work or video streaming. I haven't played any games on it yet, but I was able to download some pretty quickly. The only complaint is that it doesn't work with the dock and you can't set up two additional screens. You have one more, but not two. So if you want three monitors, this laptop isn't for you.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Book author

I like this computer. I got it for my current job as an editor and writer and it does exactly that. I was a little worried it didn't come with Windows, but I still enjoy the features and battery life.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No performance

Windows Home's S mode isn't very good

In Windows Home's S mode, you can't download anything except from the Microsoft Store. I had to install the regular version of Windows 10 Home.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Does not support dual monitors or video docks

Don't order this if you expect the USB-C connector to do something useful. It turns out that with this computer it is impossible to connect to two monitors, since USB ports do not support video and there is only one HDMI port. This is a Stone Age mistake. Do not buy.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Good value for money

So far so good. This is a good laptop for surfing the web. The only downside is that it doesn't have a number pad, but that's not a big deal. This is good value for money.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Basic laptop at a good price

About a year ago I bought a MacBook Air because I liked my iPhone. It was light, fast and had great battery life. But after almost 40 years of working with MSDOS/Windows, I just couldn't get used to the iOS environment, so I switched back to a Windows laptop. This machine has become a reliable workhorse for me. As a retiree, I'm not the power user I used to be, but my HP handles my basic functions with ease. The physical infrastructure feels a bit plasticky and cheap, but it's absorbed the…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
