About a year ago I bought a MacBook Air because I liked my iPhone. It was light, fast and had great battery life. But after almost 40 years of working with MSDOS/Windows, I just couldn't get used to the iOS environment, so I switched back to a Windows laptop. This machine has become a reliable workhorse for me. As a retiree, I'm not the power user I used to be, but my HP handles my basic functions with ease. The physical infrastructure feels a bit plasticky and cheap, but it's absorbed the usual bumps and bruises that a typical home laptop faces. I'm also a bit disappointed with the battery life, but I think it's because my MacBook was that good. On the other hand, this device never drops my Wi-Fi connection like Mac and has been working flawlessly since I bought it. Which brings me to the topic of value. This little mercenary was cheap, cheap, with a good SS hard drive size, lots of RAM, and a nice fast processor. I am very satisfied and have returned to my comfort zone with this laptop.
