Good basic laptop for computers and tablets

I describe it as basic because of its 256GB hard drive and average (i5) processor. That's pretty much what you'd expect from HP. There are two issues to be aware of when purchasing this one. First, it comes with Windows Home in S mode. S mode apparently stands for 'safe', but it's ridiculously restrictive. For example, you can only use Edge with it. You cannot download anything from anywhere other than Microsoft. Even McAfee, which comes with a 30-day trial version with this computer, cannot be

Great computer and very fast

I bought 2 of these for my family and they are really great computers. They are fast and stable. The SSD could be a bit bigger, but it's a great value for what you get. Latest generation chip, SSD, touchscreen and Windows 10. If they are still available I would buy them. It's a little heavy, but it's a 17-inch screen.

Fits perfectly

I needed a relatively cheap laptop with more monitor functionality to work over Citrix or SSH, not much in demand. This laptop ticks all the boxes and has very good characteristics, although it lacks some of the more modern ports like USB-c, Thunderbolt or DisplayPort and it has a relatively small SSD. Do not buy; Specifications not as described

Very upset with this purchase and revain for false advertising. The specifications of this laboratory worktop do not match the advertised performance. This makes me so frustrated because before I spent my hard earned money I looked at a lot of Labor Party specifications and thought this would fit nicely. Fantastic laptop, fits traditional laptops

I did a lot of research and found what to order for my dad who was struggling with his old budget laptop. New I need an SSD and at least an i-5 processor with Wi-Fi 802.11 A/C. Well, this thing is a rocket ship, and after a few months it gets powerful. Great laptop for the price we paid at the time, technology changes all the time but will this laptop last 10 years? Probably not, but will you be happy for the next 3-5 years, at least I will say YES.

inconsistent performance

if it works then it's fine. However, it also has one flaw: the screen goes black and a faded horizontal bar appears. The only way to make it responsive is to force download or turn off the device. Very disappointed but I have too much time to update and download so not worth going back. I will never buy from this seller again
