Hunter Outdoor Ceiling Fan Control Lighting & Ceiling Fans Review

This fan was installed by our electrician (I don't wire anything at home). As soon as we cut him, he lost his balance! Someone at the factory was either too stupid or didn't care that the fan was unbalanced when it left the line. Now I either have it taken off and try to equalize it or replace it. Another piece of crap cheaply built in China for a once great American company. They are HORRIBLE quality and I will never buy a Hunter again.

Two of these installed on the covered back porch. Hunter is by far my favorite fanmaker. I have installed several different brands over the past 10 years and keep coming back to Hunter. It seems that these fans are made for outdoor use. Stainless steel hardware throughout. Plastic fan blades (or something like that) and a very well painted case (resembling car polish) I have no doubt these fans will last for many years even in the heat and humidity of Florida.

I bought this fan two years ago. All the time he was outdoors, but under a canopy. Initially the fan worked fine, but over time I found that the screws holding the blades to the fan loosened after a short while. I pulled them up whenever they needed it. I have now discovered that the bushings that dampen the bolts that attach the blades to each bracket are worn/weathered and the blades are not secured to their brackets. I have always used Hunter fans because they are long lasting, well balanced and very quiet. I was very disappointed with this because I just let it sit on my porch in the South Carolina 2 heat and blew off mosquitoes and coronavirus germs while visiting the porch. it doesn't work for any of them. Try both settings and it doesn't blow enough air to blow off a mosquito or cool you that much.
