All three edges are rough, the plastic is not even trimmed. It would be impossible to use them to create a smooth surface for puddles of wood or drywall.

While not super strong, I didn't need extra strong spatulas! I needed simple spatulas that are inexpensive and perfect for my needs!

I suppose it depends what you do with them, but I've used them to scrape bottle labels and contact paper off shelves and they've been a lot more flexible than I have would like. I had to hold the "blade" very close to what I was scratching to apply force to it.

I prefer these trowels over metal trowels because they are light, strong and less expensive for filling holes and cracks in walls. They are great for small jobs, especially when working with 3M Patch Plus Primer Putty, which has a fluffy texture and dries quickly. This gets a little work done for me quickly.

Recent downsizing to a small retirement home and I realized I was prematurely missing out on a necessary cleaning tool in the process. Spatulas are great for cleaning up anything that needs cleaning up, from the sides of a cat box to spilled food on the carpet. This is great value for money - 3 tools and high quality plastic. Mine were black instead of the advertised yellow which I prefer.
