I needed an E-84 replacement water filter. After looking around and looking for a filter, I decided to take a closer look at Revain. There were several universal filters to choose from and I decided to try this one. I was concerned because some of the reviews said the threads were wrong. It fits in my filter housing but after I screw it on it doesn't feel like a tight fit compared to the Amway filter. I installed it and it's been working ever since.

Bought to replace an Amway E85 filter and it seems to work fine. Also, there are no instructions and no new rubber washer that Amway always included. Pros: Unlike other filters I've bought post sale (since Amway no longer makes this one), this one is quiet - thank goodness! The rest squeaked when the water flowed. Also great price and fast shipping.

We love our Amway water filter and have used it for years. We were sad that they would no longer make replacement filters for it. However, we were very happy to find him. I would give this filter zero stars if I could. When I removed the filter to replace it, I saw that the bottom (outlet) end plate, into which the plastic outer housing bolts, had detached from the filter housing - the end plate was simply glued to the bottom of the block, and with rather inferior glue. simultaneously worked and the glue failed - so the water went around the filter block and was not filtered.
