I don't really like color when it comes to bedrooms. I prefer to be calmer. I recommend washing them with fabric softener. I live in Arizona and of course we have air conditioning but it's not too hot there. It seems to me that this would be for a thicker blanket rather than a thinner one. I LOVE this. We bought this to replace an old duvet cover that we originally spent a lot of money on. Right out of the box it was noticeably softer. Easy to assemble and I prefer the zip fly over the buttons we had before. The only thing worth mentioning but my husband bought it so you know he hasn't read it is that it comes with king size pillowcases. We took this as an opportunity to upgrade our two standard pillows and are very satisfied.

The duvet cover is gray but has a bluish tinge that cannot be captured in the photo. No problem as it fits. The material is soft and there are loops inside to tie the duvet insert so it doesn't move when the insert is tied on all four sides. The zipper at the bottom is very convenient, no buttons like some duvet covers. In general, I recommend it as a gender neutral duvet cover, meaning a guy or girl will find it attractive as bedding.

The quality of this blanket is very low which should not surprise me given the price as the material is very thin and cheap. After a few months of use, tears appeared in several places, again the material is thinner than most sheets. Surprisingly, he sleeps very hot, the husband often wakes up sweaty.
