I ordered this adapter to play Wii and Wii U games on my computer monitor while streaming to Twitch. There is significant latency between the console and my streaming software, making playback almost impossible, but my capture card sends the signal to a different HDMI output. My monitors only have VGA and DVI inputs, so this adapter allows for lag-free gaming and streaming. I bought this in March 2020 and connected it to my PC's HDMI port. It worked fine but when I had to move my computer in August 2020 I unplugged it and this adapter fell apart. The gold shell on the pins stayed in the port, and the pins came out with the string. There is supposed to be a two year warranty but when I click on the warranty information link it takes me to a page that says I may be able to find help online. woohoo! Product works well and does the job well. I connected it to my VGA CRT monitor and the picture was crystal clear. I'm not currently using it because I needed one that would split the audio signal and also convert the video signal, but I will be using it soon to connect my computer to a CRT monitor for retro gaming.

Sorry for the low rating but I bought two of these. However, video worked well on both; On one of these the sound only worked when I put a heavy object on it so the input cable was slanted for a better connection. Reviews of other brands are mixed. High failure rate. Not long. Etc. Now I have two of this model. The first has been running 24-7-365 for a storefront for over a year. So it was on all the time. He proved reliable. Now one thing to note. When I first tried this on a Toshiba laptop, the HDMI port didn't stay enabled.
