I love the height of the door because we have big dogs and we can easily give this one 5 stars. However, I wish they were a size that wasn't as wide as the rough cutout is 15 1/2 inches which poses a problem if you plan to run it through an exterior wall where the wall codes 16 inches is . Center bolts (the door can't fit 15 1/2 inches between the bolts!), hence it only gets three stars. It would be nice if the XL model was just 3 inches taller.

I am seriously dissatisfied with this product. It does NOT seal on the sides as stated in the description. The magnet at the bottom of both flaps catches well, but the side flaps are wide open as the magnets don't pull the flaps tight, on the contrary the sides pull the magnet up from the bottom, effectively nullifying any attempt to squeeze. This is a combined review of the Ruff Weather Dog Door and Wall Extension Kit. We've had it installed for about 2 months now. I noticed bubbles of color around the bottom inner hole today.
