Specially formulated corrosion-resistant compound provides cooler connections and increased conductivity. Accepts 1 #12 Al sol. w/ 1 #18 Cu AWG min. and 1 #10. UL Listed and CSA Certified. Shell rated for 105° C, Flame-retardant shell.

Efficient Connections with Aluminum Option

According to my experience, the Ideal Twister 65 Connectors offer a seamless installation process .The aluminum option holds up well against wear and tear, while providing a secure connection for wiring projects. However the price point may be a bit high for individuals on a tight budget..

Fire hazard in industrial electrical engineering

These connectors are known to fail and pose a fire hazard. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) does not recommend their use. Sealed connectors like AlumiConn are much safer and CPSC approved. The photo shows one of these swivel connectors in my house after an unexpected connection failure, about 12 years after the previous homeowner installed them.
