Fixed misfires on my 2001 Audi A6 2.7T. Perfect

Tried ignition coil pack, spark plug and misfire injector on cylinder #2, nothing fixed. I've heard of these things but saw the OEM part was $280 each! I bought and tried 2 of these bad boys. It only took 30 seconds to replace both ICMs on my 2.7T and it was fixed! My A6 is now running fine until something breaks. because it is an audi.

Repaired my car for parts

I purchased this part after replacing coil packs and spark plugs to fix a misfire on my 2001 Audi allroad 2.7t. The car ran horribly and I didn't get any better until I bought this part. It was fixed in 5 minutes. The machine has been running like new since installation. Unbelievable. Easiest and cheapest repair I've ever done on an Audi. Share of OEM price.

Fixed my "random misfire on multiple cylinders " code.

I bought 2 ICMs for my 2000 Audi A6 2.7T. Took 10 minutes to install and they fixed my "random misfire on multiple cylinders" code right away. 2.7 has 1 ICM for each row of spark plugs. Give your ECU a few minutes to recognize new ICMs before rescanning. Mine stood for a minute and then everything was just perfect. For 1/6 the OEM price.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • No Instructions

Cheap replacement - buy replacement - works great.

A 2001 Audi A6 2.7T suddenly runs very rough with little power. OBD-II testing showed code P0304 (cylinder #4 misfire). Spark plugs and coil packs have all been checked well. I replaced the power output stages (aka ignition modules) on top of the air filter housing and changed the OBD-II code to P0301 (Cylinder #1 Misfire), which indicates the ignition modules were the cause of the problem. Ordered them every Thursday night for $30 and received them Tuesday morning in Washington…

Fixed my misfire B5 S4

Vehicle: Audi S4 2.7T (B5) 2001.5. My car gave a cylinder 1 misfire code and recently replaced my bank 1 ICM with a used OEM ICM from eBay. The misfires caused my car to idle erratically and felt like it was running on a broken pivot (axle) at speeds in excess of 10 mph. After exhausting other options (coils, camshaft sensor, injectors, spark plugs) I decided to buy this ICM to replace ICM bank 1; let's see if the used one is already broken. This fixed my misfire in cylinder 1. This is clearly…
