They have four and they are all black which means the spots are not visible. The brush itself is a bit small, but the bristles are stiff and I don't think it's going to deform too much, especially if you're not using it on a hot pan or something. I will be buying these until other companies start making more black bristle dish brushes. Casabella has one, but the bristles deform too easily for my liking. Addendum: They last forever.

I think brushes are great if you want a very hard brush but if you're looking for a low feed brush for washing dishes. Not that. They are so difficult to use for washing dishes and I even feel like they scratch my pans when I use them. It's like trying to wash dishes with a bar of soap.
