Do not buy. - Computers and accessories

So I was really excited because it's the perfect length to carry a phone with a battery in your pocket. Liked it until about 5 hours after connecting the first cable, then had to fiddle with it to get it to charge, grabbed the second and had to twist it right out of the box, same with the third. So the first cable failed on the first day and the other two didn't work right away. I've tried other cables with no issues, so I know it's a crappy design.

Seems to be pretty durable.

I bought this to replace the Samsung cable on the fast charger that came with my phone, which failed at the point where the cable connects to the phone's mini USB port and started to overheat). It's a lot thicker - a little annoying to use but hopefully lasts longer. It also lacks Samsung's built-in three stripes to identify the orientation of the (asymmetric) connector by touch. METAL END! GREAT!

WOW! First off, I almost never write reviews unless I have something really important to say. I was very surprised by these cables. Originally I wanted to look for USB cables with metal shells, but I couldn't find anything. At first I thought I'd just settled on this one and the best of a bad situation, but it turned out to be AMAZING! It's hard to read but it says they have metal ends. Positively surprised/impressed!

Honestly. My expectations were low and if I found out that Anker made 6 inch braided cables (they have longer ones) I would go in that direction. However, these small cables seem like premium construction! relatively rigid (in a good way), but what was surprising was that the cases (both ends) were aluminum rather than plastic (which I was expecting). here the metallic "ringing" when they touch was actually pretty cool.
