Doesn't measure outdoor humidity

Please read carefully. Out of fifty times they mention indoor and outdoor humidity, they mention that indoor humidity is read only once. The remote sensor is only designed for temperature measurement.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Also good to know the humidity

I use this to control the temperature in my van's drinking water tank to prevent freezing. It is also useful to know the humidity level. I have a spray bottle and spray it in the air when the humidity gets low. Works well.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Waste of money on parts and accessories

Don't waste your money. I've had it for less than a year and it no longer works. The temperature inside and outside is far away. The outside is 12 degrees higher and the inside is 5 degrees higher. waste of money. I tried to write a letter to the company but they don't reply.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Almost never

Serviced out of the box but not for long

Working with acceptable temperature accuracy (humidity not checked) but only lasted about 3 weeks. The display went dark and only showed a few segments that looked like a dead battery. I replaced the battery with a known good one, no change. Left this battery overnight and replaced it, it's still dead.

  • Certified
Cons

This clinical thermometer works well. However, it comes with.

This thermometer works well. However, it comes with a sensor that only measures the outside temperature, so the device that comes with it doesn't measure the humidity as advertised. The device itself has a built-in sensor for reading the temperature and humidity in the room. Sometimes the temperature drops by 2-3° (degrees Fahrenheit). It has four buttons: Input/Output buttons (Input is the temperature reading from the sensor on the device and Output is the temperature reading from the sensor),

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Damaged

First battery failed

This device worked fine until the first battery died. Big numbers, pretty easy to set up, just worked. But when the first battery was empty about six months later, the numbers gradually disappeared. We replaced the battery (which our tester indicated had low voltage). With a new battery, the numbers are very, very dim; it's totally useless. We tried 3 new batteries and they are all the same - the display activates very little but is not readable at all. Summary: Works great for about six months

Pros
  • Test results stable
Cons
  • Everything OK

Precise, simple, light.

I'm having trouble finding a thermometer for my apartment that can reliably read both indoor and outdoor temperatures. This one works great without having a lot of features I don't want or need. Definitely seems well constructed and so far it's always been within 2 degrees of my comparison thermometer (which is accurate enough, I don't need it) to be 100% perfect.) ADVANTAGES: - Price! Very reasonable for a quality functional product. Exactly! If you don't work for the Weather Channel, this is…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Clarity

I thought it was a flute but no!

When I first unpacked it and put the batteries in, it was VERY different from the unit it replaced (bought because it's a lot easier to read than the others we were using). . THE? Was disgusted, then tried again a few days later and the damn thing worked fine. . within a degree of other thermometers we have lined up on the spot. . However, none of these devices seem to want to measure humidity in the same way, even when the sensors are next to each other. . . I can see why, but it's true. . I…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good value and temperature accuracy is very good.

Great value (I bought two (2) for home brewing) and they are accurate to 0.9F in a 32F ice bath with an accurate lab thermometer. At room temperature both read 66.0 F and 40% RH (see photo) and the lab thermometer also read 66 F (exactly). I haven't verified the relative humidity accuracy as I don't use that feature, but in the photo they both read the same thing. Resetting the Hi and Lo readings is a little cumbersome as pressing RESET resets the units to degrees C and needs to be changed back

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not all will fit
