Description of πŸ”¨ ImpressArt Brass Head Ergo-Angle Metal Stamping Hammer (1 lb) - Ideal for Jewelry, Leather, and Wood Stamping

The Ergo-Angle Metal Stamping Hammer was designed specifically for metal stamping. With a smaller, scaled down grip, and multiple holding options, it provides easy handling and precision striking when hand stamping metal jewelry. The 1 pound (1lb) brass hammer head and ergonomic grip aids in striking metal stamps with the right amount of force, every single time. This hammer is great for the beginner and intermediate stamper. The 1 pound brass head helps to extend the life of your metal stamps by reducing wear and tear throughout each hand stamping project. The sturdy and grooved grip allows for maximum force and precision strikes. The head is replaceable, because over time, brass hammers may flake when striking, this is by design. Ergonomic grip and 1lb brass head ensures that every strike is accurate, resulting in a professional jewelry or leather DIY project. Brass heads are better than steel heads for metal stamping because brass evenly disperses the energy of the hit into the stamping blank. This prevents double impressions and also provides longevity to your stamps and steel punches. Back side of the head of this brass stamping hammer can be used for flattening metal stamping blanks into form. NOTE: being that the brass head is softer than steel stamps, the brass head will dent and flake when stamping. This is by design and will not affect the quality of your stamping.

Poor Quality Fails

Very easy to use. maybe maybe 200 hits before it broke. There was a threaded bolt on the lid which broke loose from the lid, stripping the threads and penetrating the handle, destroying the hammer. The lid is constantly unscrewed during operation, I will not buy again.

Pros
  • 1lb Brass Head helps extend the life of your metal dies by reducing wear and tear on any hand punching project. The durable and ribbed handle offers maximum power and precision. The head is replaceable as the brass hammers can detach over time on impact this is by design.

Good for Crafting

We have a home business for making jewelry on this hammer, it is very convenient for stamping as well as working with metal wire. It is also good for the so-called dapping. It feels good in the hand and is the ideal weight to work with wire without tiring your hands or using a long-handled hammer.

Pros
  • The back of the head of this brass punch hammer can be used to shape metal stamping blanks.
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great little hammer.

Very satisfied. Finally, instead of slowly banging the entire head into an edge when sanding grooves, you can just sharpen the tip a little and then replace it. I like hammering metal rather than hammer maintenance and this allows me to do so. Also, this crank is pretty good - the front arc really lets you hit dead ends a lot easier and saves your wrist some reverbs. There was some concern that it wouldn't be as powerful as a standard hammer, but it appears to be just as powerful. A great…

Pros
  • NOTE: Because the brass head is softer than steel dies, the brass head will dent and flake when stamped. This is intentional and does not affect stamp quality.
Cons
  • boring packaging
