We didn't know our propane gas alarm had a 5 year lifespan until it died! This is a newer version of the same that died. We were a little disappointed that it wasn't exactly plug and play. Rather than just plugging into an existing connection, we had to use a couple of nuts to make the connection. But it was still pretty easy. We're protected from propane gas leaks again!

Exact replacement for my propane gas detector in my 2016 Navion RV. About 5 minutes work from start to finish. I installed this unit in January 2020 and the unit was manufactured on July 8th 2019 so was about 5 months old.

I chose the cheapest offer as the only differences were the color and the delivery time. The color didn't matter, the position under the bed of the van, nobody would see. Before ordering this one, I removed the old detector and measured the distance. Choose an LPG leak detector that is the right size, cheapest and came when I needed it (before my trip). Exactly what I needed.

Ours broke out in our caravan. My husband called the RV parts department, they told him $80 so he went there to buy it, when he got there they had increased the price to $120. Revain and bought this for $37! It's exactly the same as the one he replaced except it's brown instead of black. He installed it and it fits and works perfectly. We will now always go to Revain before buying any parts for our trailer.

Malfunction After a week of course they say voltage or ground problem which the average person doesn't understand but the trailer has been working fine for 20 years and never had a problem. Like the new one that the 60-year-old couple uses for their grandchildren, I also sold it. I have an ASE certificate. I put it in the title when it asks if I can submit it when I finish ASE, although I've moved into automation with my career and it's expiring sometime this year.

Generally a good manufacturer and device. Just not the ones they sent me! Change every 5 years according to the manufacturer, and this one (see photo) is already 1.5 years old. SO. The propane gas detector in our camper beeped at irregular times (even at night). We read the instructions in the RV owner's manual and found that it had a 5 year lifespan, which it achieved.
