Description of πŸ” Innovative Components Detective ID Attachment

Set includes both Inch and Metric identifiers. Thread sizes are permanently laser etched on each gauge. All sizes are steel with a clear zinc finish and each gauge identifies both bolts and nuts. Takes the guess work out of thread size and pitch on nuts, bolts , screws, threaded holes and many other threaded items. Eliminates costly and time consuming repairs. Great for identifying and sorting nuts and bolts in fastener cribs, fastener bins at home or at your facility.

Super useful hardware tool

I've seen them at parts and hardware stores for years and never thought of buying a set of tools for my toolbox at work because I didn't know they were so cheap. They are very valuable, save time in determining what replacement hardware you need for each year/make/model car/truck and I only wish I had bought them a year ago. If you're looking at them and thinking about buying them, stop thinking about it and go for it! You will love them!

I don't know how I survived without this

I've had it less than 2 months and I don't know why I waited so long to buy it. Trying to find the right bolt or nut is much easier. Really helps me as I've found that most of my gauges and such are metric and not SAE. So I quickly realize that instead of trying to find an SAE nut in my trash cans that will never fit, I need to run to the store. An additional benefit is that I now "learn” measurements by eye. It's like looking at a hexagon and just knowing how big it is. Love it.

Pros
  • three-point accessory
Cons
  • Very expensive

Everyone should have this.

Can't believe I ever got along without her. Sure, you can take a bolt or nut to a hardware store to find the right size, but what if you're missing a bolt for a table saw or something else too big to carry around? My only complaint is that these are difficult to screw onto something large (like a table saw) due to the chain they are attached to. If they were attached so they could rotate, they would be even better. Still, it's not worth deducting a star.

Pros
  • Farm and Ranch
Cons
  • Can't remember

The Handiest Thread Detective Ever!

This has earned a permanent spot in the TOP LEFT SIDE of my main tool box. I keep it there in a nearby drawer along with all my taps and dies. in my apron or tool bag with the machine, or the nut/bolt goes in the tool box. In the right drawers, I keep a box with each nut and bolt that fits each. You'll be surprised how cheap everything can be when you go to McFeeley's. Just specify the thread size and the screw. -Order length and EVERY FUCK AT ONCE. Arrange them in a logical order in your…
