Multipurpose, 100% acrylic primer sealer that provides excellent adhesion to a variety of interior & exterior surfaces. Superior sealing and coverage qualities, product versatility and an excellent base coat for both latex and oil-based finish coatings. Excellent stain blocking primer properties. Quick drying; Tack free in 30 minutes, topcoat in as little as 1 hour and low VOC. 300 - 400 square foot coverage per gallon. Apply when surface and ambient temperature is above 50 °F (10 °C) and below 90 °F (32 °C). Before painting, review the INSL-X Aqua Lock Plus label for proper preparation and application tips.

Excellent primer but may bleed

This is a great primer but the buyer should be careful as the tin I received had a hole in the bottom of the tin. The box this paint came in showed no signs of damage so the pinpoint leak was a manufacturer fault. The color slowly ran out and spread over the floor. I'm taking off two stars because it doesn't matter how good the paint is if it can't stay in the can.

Arrived completely "cured ", lumpy, impossible to stir. Thrown away.

The color came out completely useless. We tried stirring and blending but the walls were dry and the paint didn't spread. After 20 minutes we gave up and threw it away. I think the problem is with Insul-x. I used to love it, but lately the last few cans have quickly broken or become too thick and bulky to dye. (Tip: use a spatula?)

How liquids should be packaged

Product looks as advertised. It will take a long time to verify its strength, but the way it was packaged deserves praise. Most items that are easily crushed because they are liquid or the like often arrive broken when a clean box is opened. This product has been packaged in several layers of cut cardboard and a special plastic ring that prevents the jar from opening until you use the tool and instructions provided.
