    Spend? Yes. Stylish? Definitive.

This is the most beautiful wire I have ever seen. It looks great, it's easy to work with, it lays flat, it sounds great. It's also a bit pricey, but I don't think you'll regret it, especially when there's a chance people will see it. I hooked mine up to some very good MediaBridge connectors and my gear looks as good as it sounds.

Fantastic quality OFC wire at a reasonable price!

This is real, high-quality oxygen-free copper wire! Have used it to hook up my box subwoofer and then an amp to the box with great results. The wire has a thick coat that is very flexible. I strongly recommend cables with at least 12 OFC for subwoofers, if not larger, in order not to lose performance. Don't try to save a few bucks on CCA wire, it's only worth a small amount of money for the good stuff. I couldn't be happier, especially for the price!

Difficult conditions! Best Accessory and Accessory

Very happy with these cables for my front speakers. I use them for my LRC speakers (12 AWG) and Monoprice for Surround and Ambience speakers (14 AWG). They are much heavier than Monoprice and look nicer. Monoprice cables use some type of PVC plastic, but this InstallGear uses some type of rubber! I like it. I think it's processed better. I also use Monoprice bananas and had some trouble getting it to work with the InstallGear 12awg cable. I had to cut some of the rubber to fit the thinner…

    Excellent quality and very flexible

The very large number of very thin copper strands and the flexibility of the polymer used in the insulation make this speaker cable a pleasant finish as well as excellent electrical properties for connecting speakers. The insulation is easy to strip and the thin strands are easily processed by threading onto self-crimping banana plugs. In addition, due to the extreme flexibility, the wire lies flat on the ground without retaining any curvature from being wound on a spool; Marvelous. In general,

    Good value for money

Translucent insulation. Looks good and feels good too. The other viewers were right about not wanting to bend when pulled - bonus! One thing that struck me is the thickness of the copper cable. It doesn't look like real 12AWG, but it doesn't look like flimsy 14AWG either. I've seen thicker cables. Not the end of the world. Thickness aside, it's made of copper, not CCA, which is what I was looking for. I made a small cut with wire cutters and examined it carefully with a magnifying glass and…

This special role is scrap, buyers beware!

Yes it's an OFC, yes it's the right sensor. So what's the problem? Well, you CANNOT separate two wires! The insulation is designed so that if you try to separate the wires, it will peel off on one side exposing the copper wire. What a complete disappointment! By simply separating the wires and not even an inch down, the insulation will break on one side. I had to connect my DVC subwoofers in series and parallel, so I had to split the cable to connect different voice coils, which wasn't…

    • That's amazing
    Cons
    • Expandable

I received the speaker wire spool yesterday and started installing it on my surround sound stereo system. When disconnecting the positive and negative wires, I cut the original chip to start the disconnect by pulling the two strands apart. Big mistake. This actually pulled and severed the positive wire shield exposing the internal wires. This happened again and again. The only way to prevent this is to cut the thin membrane between the two positive and negative insulators. I had to apply shrink

    Meets spec, quality product

Bought for use as the main speaker in a home theater system, decided to compare it to some other 12 and 14 AWG cables I had (see Photos) ) ) . Cut about 1.75 inches from each wire and strip the copper from the insulation. Measured metal weight of each strand with precision scale: 0.2g: Pyramid Power 12 AWG (see other review) 0.4g: Monster XP 14 AWG, purchased circa 2000, discontinued. in 20180.8: 14 gauge hardware store purchased in 2012. Standard hardware store cord met specs. Monster wire is…

. Rewiring work for my six Focal Super (Sleepy) Bird speakers

I was excited to start rewiring my six Focal Super (Sleepy) Bird speakers. I wasn't happy with the first wire selected because of mediocre quality, very brittle, like my birds, they sang like they should, they sang like Barney Fife on the Eddie Griffith show, that's horror below. However, this cable is without a doubt the best cable I have ever used that is around 50 years old. The wire is perfect for use with banana plugs or any other cable you can make yourself. It's crazy, the wire is so…
