It not only works, it works great

After setting up a pfSense machine with a couple of old Intel PCI cards (plus an onboard NIC), I started having speed issues and interface errors. pfSense showed thousands of WAN interface errors and my cable modem's download speed was below 1 gigabit. This card completely eliminated these problems. and it wasn't even that expensive and Revain was able to deliver early the next morning when I ordered late the night before (with free same day shipping). So. I'm completely satisfied. great map…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons

Great price for dual port server card

I have purchased several of these adapters over the past few months. If you need a dual-port Gig-E RJ-45 card for a nas4free, Centos, Ubuntu, or Windows server, this is a good value, and almost every relatively new operating system has one driver for it. They work great and (!) everything I've bought has both standard and short mounts. Yes, a small Phillips screwdriver and it will fit a height limited mobo :-). Must give five stars.

Pros
  • quick replacement
Cons
  • old

Great network card, best inner workings

My PC hardware was not compatible with Windows Server 2016. After installing this card, Server 2016 automatically installed the drivers and it started working great. It was easy to assign one of the two ports as the main network port for the server and reserve the other for Hyper-V virtual machines. would recommend.

  • Practical thing

Nice huge heatsink, lightning fast load balancing performance.

Full disclosure, the first card they sent me was DOA. I contacted Revain who referred me to the seller and they were very happy to help and sent me a new card without even asking me to return the dead card. This is how you win customers and get good reviews in case of problems. So the card itself looks nice and solid, no junk. Nice big heatsink on top of the cpu which leads me to believe it will have a nice long life. Installation, as always, is simple, the map is standard, nothing special to…

Pros
  • High scores for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings, everything is fine

Must go fast! good for network cards

Works great for the latest version of pfSense! Definitely recommend! If it's about the NIC, it's really Intel or driver issues. For anything virtualization, firewall, VLANs, Linux, and aggregated bandwidth, you can't go wrong with this card. Speaking of which, it works like a champ with my home VLANs and level 3 switching via pfSense!

Exactly what the doctor ordered

I have a special need - my system has a gigabit port and an SSD drive. I record audio and because the nature of audio recording is (lots of recordings) and the main weakness of an SSD is that it can't handle TONS of recordings before eventually burning out and sometimes having catastrophic losses. Well I have a Synology DiskStation and it supports iSCSI. Well, when you try to implement standard networking and iSCSI, the result is bound to give way. I had problems deleting the file share from a…

Cons

Works with pfSense!

This device works great with pfSense which is why I got it. I needed a card with two NICs and a low-profile bar, and I got both. It works very well, and as said, the drivers are available in pfSense and detectable without problems, at least in pfSense 2.2+.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Some bugs

Beware of the seller - computers and accessories

I bought 2 cards. Both maps disagree, which is interesting. In my opinion the ones I've installed so far after looking at them. doesn't look like new. I think they gave me a used card (like I EVER thought it was a fluke). It seems to have been cleaned up in a few places, but it definitely doesn't look new to me. You can see where I'm circled, dust on the map between the port and the chip. I also circled the corrosion of the copper under the screw head. Looking inside the ports, it looks like a…

Cons

No link aggregation in Win 10

This NIC is deprecated because Intel does not support link aggregation/merge in Win 10. Group/Link tab is missing from map configuration settings. I've been trying to add this port in a team with the newer Intel I219V Ethernet port built into my Coffee Lake (Z370 Extreme 4) motherboard. When I tried this, a warning appeared that functionality would be broken.

Can handle a 1Gbps connection on a cheap router

I have an Ubuntu router at home that does the routing and hosts multiple servers. I recently switched to a gigabit connection and only saw about 500Mbps each way. I connected the router provided by the provider and got 1 Gbps in each direction. Well, since my build was mostly a toy, it used a built-in Realtek Ethernet port for LAN and a cheap Realtek single-port card for WAN. Hit this guy and he was recognized immediately, although he broke my router because the new interface naming system…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
