Doubled the speed of computers and accessories

Installed on a newly purchased MSI GL63 laptop. Given that this is a gaming laptop, I was amazed that it has an Intel 9462 processor with a top speed of 433Mbps. I have an AT&T 1 gig that I haven't fully utilized yet. Easy installation. My AT&T router and Netgear r7000 limit my speed, but I keep slowing it down to 3-400Mbps (about 2x faster). I'll try to set up the routers, but don't expect more than half the ISP's advertised max speed over WiFi. Definitely worth $15. I believe it's just plug…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Fits my Lenovo Legion Y7000 laptop!

Choose this card over the Intel 9260 card to replace the inferior Realtek RTL8822BE that came with this laptop. While I knew it would work with an 8th gen processor, I wasn't sure if a possible BIOS whitelist or other issues would prevent me from using this card. Luckily it works and there is some improvement in Wi-Fi speeds. I haven't compared Bluetooth performance yet, but switching from BT 4.2 to 5.0 should increase range by up to 4x if I understand correctly. This card does not work with…

Maybe it's really faster than Realtek RTL8822be

Installed in Lenovo Legion Y7000. The originally installed Realtek RTL8822be Wi-Fi card drivers were the biggest problem, and by manually updating I fixed many connectivity issues plaguing this Lenovo-era laptop. I did this after having already ordered it. I decided to abandon and install the 9650 as it is a newer product and had Bluetooth 5 instead of 4.1 or 4.2 (doesn't matter). 5.45% MB/s increase in internetwork speed (courtesy of DSLReports website). Not scientific, mind you, but a nice…

Upgrade your WiFi for Intel

This card does exactly what is advertised if you have the right chipset. It is designed to work with later generations of Intel processors (e.g. 7xxx or 8xxx) and these must have the appropriate connector on the motherboard. Make sure your LAN port has a Type E mounting block. If he's older, you're wasting your time. Antenna connections are standard and allow you to quickly and easily connect the cables built into the machine. All in all, the installation took less than 10 minutes. After…

Not all M.2 slots and cards are created equal!

I wanted to install Bluetooth on my Evga X99 Classified Desktop motherboard. To verify the correct type I made the mistake of removing my 9560ngw laptop and trying it in an M.2 slot on an old Evga board. It didn't recognize the card and I got a blue screen so I put it back into the laptop. After that the laptop wouldn't boot and got hot! It booted without it but I thought I fried the laptop motherboard. I bought this card which matches the original laptop card number and it saved my laptop…

Pros
  • Practical matter
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Great value, works great

Used this in my new build which had an Intel CNVI slot on the motherboard. I love that it's fully hidden and recognized immediately at boot on Win10 - no drivers required and bluetooth worked too. NOTE: When ordering antennas for this, make sure they have an MHF4 connector and nothing else. In addition, the connector is very small and it is not possible to install antennas because the card is already built into the cell phone. First connect the wires, then route the entire assembly to where you
