I've been using these for a number of years and they do a great job of keeping our toilets from red rust stains. If you have rust stains in your toilet, you must first remove the rust stains by adding some Iron Out powder by following the directions on the container. These tablets release enough Iron Out to prevent new stains, but not enough to remove existing stains. I have found that I need to put a new tablet in the reservoir about once a month, not for 45 days. Our upstairs toilets are…

Works great, cheaper elsewhere

We have LOTS of irons and I either have to clean the toilet 3 times a week or use it and only clean once a week. I prefer to use them! With four toilets in the future, I'll buy it for a lot less at a big hardware store where it's half the price, but it's now a regular part of my cleaning routine. Other High Iron Tips: Never use chlorine. bleaching. He installs iron. Use oxygen bleach instead. Use Iron Out powder and salt granules to treat iron in your water softener. Use White Out for white…

Won't work overnight, but it will!

I had such horrible stains in my toilet that I was embarrassed to have company. Washed, washed, but the stains could not be removed. I bought a substance that turns toilet water blue and tried Pine Sol, but nothing helped. I was about to replace the entire toilet. But then I found these Super Iron Out tablets - and the spots are slowly but surely going away. If your toilet is as dirty as mine, it will take time for the stains to dissolve and go away. just be patient The spots will go away in…

Iron-out toilet tablets

We have spring water with 35 ppm iron. (That's about 100 times the allowable amount.) Our Culligan water softener, an ion exchange and neutralization system, works well and removes iron, except when the system periodically flushes itself back after midnight. Then a toilet flush fills the bowl with iron-rich water. When exposed to air, the colorless, soluble iron quickly oxidizes to insoluble, reddish-brown iron, which stains the container and bowl. Ironing tablets solve this problem very well…

Immediate Improvement!

Our fountain has always been a problem; A water softener can only do so much for a home built on dirty iron and manganese, causing water to turn orange-rusty and undrinkable and ruining laundry, sinks, toilets and dishwashers. It's gotten worse lately and I don't even have company because of the unsightly toilets. I have been using Iron Out powder form for years to deal with laundry and daily toilet problems but now I have decided to try pills as the well is worse than ever and my only cure is…

Keeps my toilet cleaner longer

I am very happy with how much cleaner my toilet looks after using it. Since my water is rusty I had to clean it every 2-3 days to keep it looking clean. I travel a lot for work and every time I end up in a dirty looking toilet. Not since I started taking these pills. Of course I still have to clean it, but now there can be weeks instead of days between cleanings. I have excellent results. I don't know why some people don't like them. You can't expect never to have to clean a toilet again just…

Great for preventing hard water brown stains

I recently learned how hard water is affecting my life and how easy it is to prevent these problems. It was one of them. I cleaned my toilet, installed one of these as directed, and checked it regularly for a while until I got fed up. Then one day I found I had hard water brown spots again and sure enough the puck was gone. I would say it took 2-3 months. Next time I'll try one that turns the water blue so I don't have to worry too much about how long it lasts. Water stains just fall off…
