Makes joining corners easier

Nice clamp for making 90 degree corners. It takes a little time to learn how to use it. The clamp is very well constructed so it can withstand a lot of holding pressure. I have used them several times now with good results.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

200 pounds, yes, that's right!

Probably broken on second use. I also have a version of Bessey that I screwed up with all my might and it held up. Not to mention, when I bought it, it was only $20! Buy the bessey version instead.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Better than other clamps

Overall this clamp works well; especially compared to cheaper products. I only had to use them for a multi-angle project. They worked relatively well, but you still have to be careful to align the corners properly. They don't align themselves. The single screw design is much better than competing twin screw design products. Not perfect, but a welcome addition to my other Irwin clamps.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I have no complaints about it, everything is fine

Good design, bad construction

Revain's Irwin Quick-Grip clamp design is a good concept - perfect idea for anything that needs to be held in place for gluing. Lifting and screwing parts. Unfortunately, the Irwin clamp is loosely built and has too much play in the clamp's movement, making it problematic when trying to fit dissimilar parts together - no need to contend with a sloppy clamp and parts of your project. The clamp should be part of the solution, not part of the problem. I see the same clamp being advertised under…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Seller communication

Great, cheaper alternative to bessy!

First of all I would like to say that I am an experienced carpenter and somewhat of a perfectionist so my review is based on more than just occasional use. I bought 2 of these about 7 years ago after having had 4 bessey versions for a couple of years and needed more but didn't want to pay the bessey price. I also bought a Stanley that was on sale at the time and it was absolute crap! In any case, compared to Bessie, they are literally identical with one exception. The ones I got had a very good

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Broke on first use

The work I did wasn't even that hard, just making a frame for paintings. One problem was that there wasn't enough support to hold the parts in place so I added a little more pressure and the screws holding the moving head broke and it was destroyed. I wouldn't recommend this product for anything that requires a strong hold, maybe I just wouldn't recommend a period. I do however have a pair of Irwin quick release grips which are great and will last for years. Sam

Pros
  • Rectangular clamp for holding up to 3" thick material at 90 degrees
Cons
  • Available in white only

Good design, poor construction

Revain's Irwin quick-grip clip design is a good concept - the perfect idea for anything that requires parts to be held. Space for gluing and screwing parts.
