I thought I could hook them up to the existing lighting system but it's not possible. The straight side is not aligned but opposite. The 90 degree leg is correctly aligned but does not allow for a straight line. Too bad I was very happy to add more lighting to my systems but unfortunately that's not going to happen with these.

I use LED lighting a lot in my shop. Thought I'd try these cheaper plugs. Never again. They have absolutely 0 downforce. If you breathe on them, they fall apart. But that doesn't really matter because they're clamped so loosely they can't even connect properly. Save yourself money, time and a lot of frustration. DO NOT BUY.

All my standard connections were made with no problems. All I had to do was cut the insulation on the lightstrip, slide the strip and T under the connector pins and snap into place. I was even able, with a little trial and error, to wrap a 4-wire ribbon on one side of several connectors so I could power the strips from a remote power source and bypass a few holes where I could don't need light.

Aligning the power line (+12V) to one end of the T-connector is a bit confusing at first, but all I had to do was flip the LED strip and connect the other end. Let the power line connect and work properly. This meant I had to rethink a bit what I was trying to do, but all of the L and T connectors worked. I would suggest reading the little instruction manual that comes with the kit because I didn't do it at first and thought the T-connectors were just broken.

Slight movements and sections fade or change color per serving. Pressing the connector will re-enable the connection and the indicators will light up but release and go out again. Tried different plugs. Also try sticking a small piece of thin packing foam inside the unit before closing the door to create extra pressure. No help. If you plan to use them, be sure to remove the adhesive from the back of the strip you plan to attach. Otherwise the LED strip will bend when you try to insert it.

I had a hard time making good connections. This is good if you only need a few. But for me I had quite a long project with a lot of shelves and a lot of these T-connectors. I found that I wasn't making a good connection somewhere along the line and that was messing up all the other lights. Also, trying to open the clasps was terribly annoying. I would rip off all the plugs and just make a continuous loop of light. he was under the torture rack, so no one would see him anyway.

These are great connectors at an affordable price. They make great advertising, and the connectors can be used as a lane-to-lane connection when you don't need a T-bend. Just a few things I didn't like about them. First, these things are ridiculously difficult to open. Because of this, I broke my nails several times.
