Jacquard Lumiere Metallic & Pearlescent Paint 2.25 Oz, 563 Silver Metallic Review

I am looking for a silver paint, in this case a good silver paint that can be applied to wood in a coat or two. That helped. I've tried other acrylic paints that were so almost watery that I still added layers to get the color and opacity I got from this paint.

Color took a star off because I bought '3 packs' because a tin was 'out of stock' and only received one tin of that color in silver and light gold. For this price, especially the shiny gold price, I recommend DharmaTrading.com instead for a lower price. Only free Prime shipping made it worth a look. I have used this paint before and I know the quality is good.

Great experience. I used this to dye my boots for my silver banshee costume. They turned out really great! It cracks a bit around the ankle but no more than regular leather. This requires multiple coats and I would recommend letting each coat dry before applying the next (it only takes about 10 minutes to dry). I only needed one bottle for both shoes, but bought a second bottle to touch up just in case.

I purchased this product because I made personalized gifts for my bridesmaids. I bought black canvas bags and wrote everyone's names in silver metallic paint. I used my silhouette to cut the names out of the vinyl and then placed them on the bag as a stencil. The names came out very clearly and stood out well against the black background. The color is very shiny, shiny, mid-tone silver. Not too light and not too grey. See attached picture.

Jacquard is my favorite color of fabric. Great colour, great coverage. However. I have ordered this item twice. First they sent the wrong color. At least it was sealed, but not what I needed. Sent it back with no problems, replacement was shipped fairly quickly. Unfortunately, this replacement unit arrived unsealed and broken. The seal on the inside of the lid is broken and the paint has spilled over the product during shipping. I was unsatisfied but there was no option to send another color…

I have used these paints for years and love them. Metallic silver has a nice sheen and reflects light well. The color pattern is very close to what you will get. This paint works well on almost any surface imaginable and stays supple without tearing on fabric. I often embroider with this color for art quilts with no problems.
