It would be nice if the packaging included instructions on how to activate one of these markers. You must discard the yellow ring and fully tighten to allow flow.

These are my favorite watercolor markers. I'm surprised they don't appear on the best watercolor markers page on Amazon. I highly recommend mixing paints with water, wine or other liquids to get more interesting colors. Pink is sort of a neon/candy cake color, but the others are perfectly usable.

I took an online drawing course and the instructor had them on the delivery list. I didn't buy them at first because of the cost, but when I saw the versatility and vibrancy of the colors after seeing a teacher use them, I just HAVE to have them! I then took another lesson with another teacher and as we shared our art she asked what I use because the colors were so vibrant. She also bought a set right away! I highly recommend them. Worth buying.

These watercolor brushes are amazing. The colors are highly pigmented and fade gently with water. The top of the brush is solid and offers good control with both thin and thicker lines (there are a few lines next to the starfish pattern). I'm so disappointed; I bought Jane Davenport markers, a set of watercolors and black pencils and they are all classified as Warning: Cancer - California Prop 65 warnings and also meet ASTM D-4236. So I have to send them back. As an artist of 30 years of experience, I no longer use materials that do not meet the AP certification verified by the ACMI Toxicology Advisory Board. I used Arteza watercolor brush pens and wanted to try them. Pros: They give slightly more watercolor effect than Arteza pens. It's easier to wash off the ink already on the paper and give it a nice look. The pens are refillable but I haven't found ink refills yet and like pens they can be quite expensive. The tip of the brush is slightly longer. as Arteza tips. Pens are compressed so you can control the amount of ink. The ink mixes well together, creating new colors. Ink colors are more vibrant
