I've been looking at this or the self centering system above. It's cheaper and includes 3 dowel sizes where only DowelMax includes 1 so is it very very expensive when you get all 3 sizes the sizes included are very reasonable too size 5/16 is meaningless to me as you can cover everything with 1/4 or 3/8 these plus 1/2" Giants should cover all your dowel needs. a bit easier since you don't have to remember which side you were referring to.
