Easy installation

Installation is just beautiful.... just need to figure out where to place the washers, there are no instructions but there is plenty of information on youtube. Sealed bearings are covered with metal instead of plastic.

Great upgrade, best gear components

You can't beat the price for a great multiple crank gear upgrade. The only reason I give 4 stars is the lack of instructions. So brush up on the internet or wait at your local stores. Get a GOOD bottom bracket grease. Also, this is a great deal I couldn't beat to upgrade my friend's bike.

  • Pleasant to use

  • Everything is fine

Worth the price but get a new BB

So these cranks have been on my bike for a year now they blew the bell when it comes to commuting and mountain biking I have to say they hold up to the conditions , in which they were placed, stood well if you are planning to buy them. My only gripe is the bottom bracket, which was fine for about the first week, but then it kept squeaking. I recommend Shimano MT 800 BB to replace it

Good if you don't use it for big drops or jumps

I bought a spare hardtail in case my entire suspension gets damaged so I have a bike to ride. This bike came with a square bottom bracket cone so I bought this crank to replace it. The first few rides really impressed me until I ran into some big drops and the crank kept breaking off. I was able to loosen, reinstall, and tighten the hex bolts to finish the trail with no issues. If you're using this on a bike that doesn't experience hard drops I think it's a good buy.

Pros
  • Great for a small house

  • Available in white only

So far, so good! - Transmission Components

This kit replaces my square connecting rods and fits with no problems. The quality seems pretty good, the cranks feel sturdy and the bearings spin well. I took it for a short trail ride and the ride has definitely improved. Time will tell how it holds up, but so far I'm impressed. Some special tools are required for replacement, so make sure you get them when you place your order. You will need a puller for the old square tapers, a tool to remove the old cartridge, and a tool to tighten the new

Cranks are ok, bottom bracket fails too soon

Got six of these to convert our MTBs to 1x. Some of them came with plastic spacers and some came with aluminum spacers. But I don't think it matters. We ride easy trails most of the time and never do big jumps. We didn't experience any crank drops as other users have reported. After a few miles, some of our bikes started making a crackling noise when pedaling hard. I've tried removing, cleaning, adding lube, etc to fix the problem. But the noise comes back after 2 or 3 miles. I think the noiseโ€ฆ

Not bad to be honest. Except for the bottom bracket, that is.

update: the sled broke down after about 100 km. The non-drive side got really jagged. I ended up replacing it with a Shimano bottom bracket, which works well with this crankset. I needed a crankset for a gravel bike I was building. It has a 68mm bottom bracket, but the road cranks hit the frame. I chose this crank because it works with 73mm bottom brackets and therefore has a longer axle. I figured I could add spacers to get the crank alignment right. I have paired this crankset with Shimanoโ€ฆ

Nice looking rod. BUT potentially dangerous in case of malfunction!

I really like this product. The workmanship and appearance of the cranks are very good. However, the set I received had a serious problem. When riding easy trails, the crank fell off twice. I re-tightened the two screws holding the lever, but last week it fell off again. When I installed the crank I used bottom bracket spacers. However, since the shims were installed, the spindle/hollow crankshaft did not fit snugly into the arm, so I removed all shims and retorqued all fastenersโ€ฆ

175mm instead of 170mm cranks and plastic spacers

Received today and installed on my XL GT Aggressor Pro. Can't comment on track performance yet, but installation was easy and smooth. I've watched several YouTube videos on the installation and reviews of this product. There seem to be versions with aluminum spacers that people order from eBay. Are there other sellers selling the same set for $10 more than I paid for this one and I'm not sure if they come with aluminum spacers? They were plastic. The tube is also plastic which I didn't know and
