I was working to fix a controller that was chewed by a dog but all the internal parts still worked. The new skin is well suited for the 1st generation controllers. I gave 4 stars because I had to snap off a small pin at the very back that didn't line up properly with the USB board, everything else was perfect. I also left the black buttons with a transparent shell and replaced the transparent buttons with regular ones.

We need to modify the internal parts significantly to make them fit. Don't do this unless you have experience disassembling the controller completely, including removing the motherboard, buttons, etc. This was my first attempt and I completely destroyed my controller. Also, three buttons were missing.

After careful inspection you would need to either solder or cut the wires to the Palm vibrators to attach them to it. I even tried to see if my old controller's innards would fit in the new controller's body, but unfortunately not. I am keeping this item because I may try it one day. I'll try to post pictures to show what I'm talking about. I'm not sure if circuit boards can be transferred from the old case to the new one.

So the packaging took an insane amount of time even though I bought it on Prime but I Take advantage of the doubts caused by COVID. HOWEVER, I rebuilt and modified a lot of equipment and the product really didn't live up to other brands' standards. This is for a Gen 1 DS4 controller, I used it BUT I had to modify the new TON shell to actually fit my components and it didn't come with screws which is always the case with other branded reshell packs was common.

I had mixed feelings from the mixed reviews so I bought it anyway and was really happy that it actually fits my controller! I have a 1st gen controller so it doesn't fit the new pro controller with a light bar on the touchpad. Also, the only small problem I had was installing the motherboard with the lightstrip. a piece of plastic on one of them and after that it fitted perfectly :) I didn't use the buttons that came with it so I went for the black one :) so happy with this purchase

This kit contains a complete set of replacement parts for the DualShock 4, including motor chassis and shifters. Overall I was very impressed with the quality of the product. The sticks are of high quality and have a nice texture. Everything fits together pretty well. However, I had to leave the two screws at the top slightly loose to avoid breaking the Share and Options buttons. Triggers (R2, L2) disappointed me the most. One of the internal screw posts was on the transom side where it was supposed to be. Also, it prevented inserting the internal schema. Also, the stand at the top that holds the touchpad is too thick for the pad to sit still. Luckily I'm fairly handy looking so I was able to remove both posts with a modified hacksaw and glue in place but this product is very disappointing nonetheless. This was mentioned in another PS4 controller review but it's worth noting that before you buy, make sure you have an ORIGINAL PS4 controller . THIS WILL NOT WORK with newer model controllers (not to mention PS4 PRO where we are talking about off the shelf 2nd gen controllers bought off the shelf). There are some good resources for determining what type of controller you have (obviously I haven't used them as I bought them for a 2nd gen controller and was frustrated that I couldn't use them)…
