My cat's nails are like little needles. I had to do something to get them trimmed. This trimmer works great, I just wish I could hold her still long enough to trim them.

I like these, and they work well. I think the angle of the blade is more steep than my old clippers, and my elderly cat does not like the change. Still, they're nice, I can move around to a good approach, and they perform the job well.

I was a bit concerned after I ordered these clippers and then noticed someone respond to a questioner stating it was a waste of money using on small dogs nails. Then, when I received the package, I thought the advertisement was a little misleading because the packaging states small animals, no mention of dogs. My dog is very sensitive but she doesn't mind these. We adopted her, and at that time her nails were so long that some of them had curled around and were pressing into her paw. We use these every week to cut them back gradually. No accidents yet - they're sharp enough to take on even her thickest nails incl. dew claw.
