The schematic doesn't make sense to me.

Confusing circuit! The alarm has a brown wire and a brown/white wire. The panel has two black wires, a red wire, a brown wire, and a white wire. With this connection, the red, white and one black wire remain unconnected? Maybe if I read Swedish.

Pros
  • One year probationary period
Cons
  • Don't know

Works as advertised

The alarm came with the wrong sensor and instructions on how to connect a two wire sensor. After reading some comments on this topic, I connected the alarm and the sensor. Everything is working well. The siren is loud enough to drown out the engine noise. The light is clearly visible. The three-position toggle switch is solid and looks nice on the dash. Worth the money so far.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Speed

Wrong sensor in package

I bought it at the end of November and now that the boating season has started I went over the weekend to have it fitted. I found the schematic did not match the products I received and spent several hours trying to get it working. I was just searching what to do when I saw reviews that they put the wrong sensor in the box. Unfortunately, my return window has expired and now I'm stuck with it.

Pros
  • Little competitor
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Here are the actual patterns! Replace all the wires yourself.

I had to reassemble the whole block for a number of reasons. First, switching to the buzzer wiring for the water level sensor was incorrect. The second half of the wire crimp failed a slight pull test. A quick call to Johnson Pumps got me the schematics straight away, and it only took five minutes to change the wiring. I don't understand why the instructions that came with the unit are wrong or why the crimps were unusable but I would buy this unit again as it is easy to fix, the price is right

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • No

Professional look. Great product

The smart switch is triggered when water touches the water and goes down to sound an alarm. There are two buttons that can be pressed for manual verification. This is intended ONLY as an alarm! I hooked up a separate float switch and 1500g/h pump to help if I have a flood problem that the bilge pump cannot solve. Will buy you more time. This was installed on a 2004 Beneteau 473 that didn't have a high 💦 Alarm ⏰. That gives you peace of mind. I checked the alarm while sailing and I could hear…

Mismatch between sensor and control panel.

I contacted JP Application Engine and said the following: You received the product with either the wrong control panel switch or the wrong sensor/switch. If you have a small wafer sensor (about 1" wide x 2" long), both it and the panel switch should have a black/red/white wire. If you have an Ultima switch, it only has a brown wire and a brown/white wire. , and the panel toggles. Based on your description you have an Ultima switch but the panel is connected to a smaller sensor. I have no idea…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Something else

I THINK IT WORKS GREAT

Only four stars because he had no "real world" experience, only with my boat being pulled out of the water. Done as it should. The installation went straight away, the circuit diagram is clear. I wish I knew it wouldn't work until the sensor was about 3/4 full of water - I would lower it a little further into the hold. I installed mine using an aluminum tube (part cut off to make a "tee" and attached the sensor to it) and tucked the wires under the tube. He worked with thin silicon wire made…

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Band

Every boat should have these

I wired these independently from my two bilge pumps with their own wiring and fuse and even connected directly to a different battery than my bilge pumps. so it has to be a really good backup system. If you turn it off, it cuts the power and doesn't drain the battery at all, so you can plug it directly into the battery for relatively reliable protection (both my bilge pumps are plugged directly into the battery too, which is ABYC code I believe ). It works really well, it's small so it's easy…

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
