Jonard JIC 375 Stripper Handle Length Review

It's great that I was able to get it working right away without any adjustments. I do a lot of fiber optic installs and they cut and remove very cleanly and get good light level readings afterwards. This is my second pair, same as before, straight out of the box and ready to use with no adjustments. Will buy again from this seller.

I've tried other big brands but they didn't really interest me. They are my number one choice because I love how they are made and they are a trusted name when it comes to fiber optic equipment. The little thing is in the middle that you can adjust how close they are. This paint will peel and rust. I wish they would either offer a better finish or maybe stainless steel and match the price but then it lasts forever.

They work well, feel good in the hand and remove food without having to tilt them. However, my set screw wasn't set correctly from the factory (that's a bit disappointing and the reason I didn't give 5 stars). I adjusted the set screw and now they work flawlessly for me. This is a pretty good inexpensive fiber stripper. Unfortunately, the first one I got had a poorly sized center hole that was too small and microscopically cut the fiber right through the buffer coating. The fiber then broke either when removing the buffer coating or when trying to firmly insert the fiber into the connectors. The other 2 holes were perfect. These strippers perform well on both singlemode and multimode fibers. Contrary to some other reviews, I didn't have to adjust my pair at all. (The only minor issue I had was stripping some of the exposed fibers in very cold outside conditions (near freezing) and breaking the fiber when attempting to strip.
