Overall, great product. Only issue was seating piping to stock exhaust. Used a hammer with a shirt wrapped around it as I don’t have a mallet. I bought this exhaust at $70. This thing is A+ I am really impressed with it! I'm not sure if they updated the down-pipe diameter because mine fit snug but smooth, there was no need for pipe extenders or mallets anywhere on this install like mentioned in previous comments. Very easy install! Just look at the pics from the other peoples posts. One thing I did was buy the exhaust expander. I only need to turn a few times! Don’t want to over do it ! For the other piece of pipe. I just sprayed a little chain lube on and used a block of wood and tapped it with a hammer to go down. After it was on it was easy to turn. I've had this exhaust for almost a year now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. First off the sound, well, it's what I love most about my bike now. I've had the little Ninja 400 for 6 days as of the time of this review. I just installed muffler this evening so I thought I would give a veteran rider's opinion. 1st and foremost mounted with the baffle in it sounds and looks great. It's a deep thumper like sound but not annoying loud like a full race pipe or too dirt bike like as many of the other pipes are. This is how it should of sounded stock in my opinion. I bought this for my 2018 Kawasaki ninja 400 to replace the stock original muffler. it’s called a ‘slip on’ for a reason, but it DID NOTTT SLIP ON! The mid-pipe that comes with this did NOT fit and had to be modified/stretched. What should have taken me 30 mins ended up taking me half of the day, plus I had to pay more out of pocket to have the mid-pipe modified and then installed on my bike. Although I accidentally purchased this slip on which is for a ninja 400 for my old ninja 300 on accident, I was able to make it work with no real issues and its a fantastic sound and look for only $70 and even better it has allowed for my 300 to spit flames which is pretty dope too

I got to say. For 90$ is 100% worth it. The quality is good. Fit perfect in my ninja 400. Looks like this middle pipe fits super easy. Only 5 minutes to install. Sonds loud and nice and looks clean

We were stuck waiting for the Yoshimura full system to come in so in the mean time we got this and it surprised us with the sound quality and fitment.

Was a real pain in the ass to get on. Chose to beat the mid pipe on rather than get the pipe expander. Other than that installation was simple.Sounds great. To me, absolutely worth it. I'm not racing or looking for horsepower, just wanted a better sound than stock.

Much better than the stock tip. Very loud with a chunky sound. Video doesn't do it justice. Can't do much better if you're on a budget.

Bought this due to the price. Didnt/don't expect much. The sound is pretty good. Overall quality seems to be as expected. Only thing I didn't like was there were no instructions. Though I was able to figure it out from looking at pictures of other people's ninja 400s with it on.

The ninja 400 is my first bike and I thought it sounded good stock. The second you pop this on It's a whole new world. My favorite is in second gear on deceleration you get so many burbles and small pops. If you go rid of the cat or got any set of headers it would be insane.It's loud without the baffle but It's a good trade off. Easy install. Watched a couple youtube videos to get the general idea. Bought the Harbor Freight pipe expander but didn’t need it has everything slipped together without a hitch. I am running with the baffle and it is a little louder than stock which is fine with me. I mostly bought it for the weight savings, some extra room for my right foot on the pegs and the cool factor. Don’t know if it has improved or reduced performance as I didn’t feel much of a change in acceleration.

This exhaust sounds great , they fixed the fitting problem everyone is talking about mine went on w/o having to beat it with a hammer and wood didnt have to push on it with alot of force awesome for the money. Only negative is they sent the wrong decal for the exhaust i ordered the yello and white one but they sent the other brand kinda dissappointed.

sounds good, a little difficult to install and didnt have any instructions, but was able to figure it out. In the beginning I would recommend it. Had it for 3 months now and the welding failed when I was on a ride and the neck that slipped on to my existing pipe separated and now need to either have it re-welded or replace the exhaust.
