Premium Kaytee Clean & Cozy White Small Animal Bedding: Comfort and Hygiene Combined Review

Attention buyers. My poor guinea was infested with parasitic lice. Be sure to freeze for 24 to 48 hours. When I bought these over the winter months I didn't notice any problem other than a different quality of flakes being sent to me each time. But as we got into the warmer months the cold didn't have time to kill the lice and I didn't know until my vet informed me of parasites that could live and multiply in this stem material. I will never buy this from Amazon again.

Looks like they switched papers. It used to be soft, fluffy, absorbent and pretty messy. Now it looks like cheap paper junk I paid extra to avoid. It feels very bad, doesn't absorb moisture, is fibrous - like dirty torn gift bag paper - and gets everywhere. My rabbit has thrown it out everywhere and the cat has dragged it in. I have attached pictures of what the last bedding looked like and what this bedding looked like. Same package 3 weeks apart. I'm so sad :(

Excellent substrate. Absorbs most odors - when this happens it's time to switch. The product itself is odorless. My Syrian Hamster loves to just dig into the fluff and doesn't seem to mind at all. You never know what you might get when you order this product. Sometimes it's the soft, fluffy type. Sometimes it's longer, torn paper.
