🔬 Optimized Purple Tech by Kent Marine Review

I use this product for all my reef aquariums and love it. Algae growth is good but what I like most is how they buffer my water right where I want it. It is great. I recommend this to anyone who wants an overall excellent water buffer.

Item works as described, it should be noted that the item does not actually contain any calcareous algae. This is an additive to increase the amount of algae in your aquarium. And there are many complaints about the hat in the reviews, mine works fine.

Bought this 2 weeks ago and used it for a week. However, I stopped using it after the first week as it left a powdery residue on my tank gear. It's also a solid product and I've seen consistent and steady growth of purple algae.

Always use it, there are better options but that means a trip to town. I use this in a 75 gallon FOWLR tank with lots of live rock. It keeps Coraline sane. It's also good value for money due to the large bottle. It's not as thick as I'd like, but like I said, it's good enough.

I've been using this product for years but lately the caps on the bottles have been junk. They are not sealed, so it is impossible to shake the product before use so as not to spoil it. I also think it shortens the shelf life after opening. It's not worth returning, the replacement is the same.

I add some to my aquarium every few days. I personally don't change the water and my aquarium has leveled out over the past year. This amount is enough for my tank to start growing coralline algae a day or two after adding it. I notice a difference. My weekly calcium and all supplements don't. Whatever goes beyond those two things.

I've been using this product for years and it works great BUT after receiving my regular batch of this product and opening the 'sealed' label underneath the Lid, I put the lid on and shook the liquid went everywhere. Looked at the top of the cap and it wasn't cut correctly (not round). It was zig zag. Luckily I had a spare cap BUT what a mess to put away and lost a lot of my product. The seller must clarify the defect with his manufacturer.

To give you an idea I'm 16 years old and bought this about a month ago. I read all the comments and of course the lid is broken and that's ok if you are careful and attentive. I just powered up my tank and wanted to grab some purple gems. It's February 8th and I've just seen lime green algae in the tank which I've read are the precursors to coralline algae. It also grows rapidly and this can be taken as a sign that your aquarium is on the way to becoming a healthy, mature and fully cycled reef…

I read all the reviews that the cap didn't fit, the first time I used it I forgot those reviews... I remembered it fell off the second time and I did Had to clean up a huge mess. I have made. The milky white substance in this bottle does not rinse off easily. However I find it works, you need to add it at night after the lights are off, preferably right before bed. The entire tank becomes temporarily cloudy. 3/5 for the cap and the fact that I really can't say 100% that it actually does…
