KESHES Replacement Bowstring: 12-16 Strands, 44-70 Inches - For Traditional & Recurve Bows! Review

It is a good solid strang for the price. I shoot mostly 50 lb recurve and it handles everything I throw at it. If I had to say anything negative it would be that the top loop that slides down over the limb starts to separate at the bottom of the loop some when a little pressure is applied from the limb. It's not the most expensive string out there but I would recommend these strings to anyone and I plan to buy more in the future when needed.

Endless loop Dacron string made in China. Inexpensive. Decent material and craftsmanship. It fits my Black Hunter recurve and performs okay. The top loop is too small and barely slides on my bow limb when stringing. There is not enough serving below the nock point to cover the strands of the string when shooting three fingers below the nock. Maybe I can add some more serving. I will keep this as a spare and go back to a Flemish twist American-made string which cost more but is better made.

Very well made bow string. 16 strands makes it a little too thick for recreational arrows to fit on easily. That was fine to my own ignorance, but it was also not readily apparent. The arrows will fit, but it takes some force. If you are just shooting cheap arrows at targets in your back yard, get fewer strands than 16.

These bow strings are as advertised the only drawback I have is the serving seems to be sitting slightly high from center but manageable. Will definitely purchase again once time for new ones.

I use an old Ben Pearson recurve for bow fishing and the string was coming apart. I found KESHES on amazon an ordered an 16 strand Dacron. I waxed it, put about ten twists in it to set the brace heighth and it shoots great. The string appears to be very well made and has not stretched at all in the first 100 arrows. I will probably replace all the strings on my traditional bows this year with products from this company.

As stated above this bowstring was priced reasonably and lasted quite a long time considering that I string and unstring my bow for each use.

I have purchase this before and it is very good for me, I ordered a 12 strand and 58" Amo ,but what I got was a 12 strand 54"Amo.

Pretty straightfoward. My last bow string was severely unraveling and breaking down. This is a good and inexpensive replacement. I'll probably buy it again when it eventually breaks down.

The item does the job. It does have a strong smell to it, reminds me of the smell the old cap guns had after you fired them. Seems like it will hold up for a long time.

Bowstring came fast and looks to be in good shape, no markings or blemishes and all the strands are tight. Much better bowstring that the one my bow came with. I'm happy customer. Will return and update review if anything changes.The nock serving is a little too thick with the plastic arrow nocks I have. Got some boiling to do.

I guess there's nothing wrong with a bowstring being made in China; it just hit me wrong. That in and of itself is no reason to reject it. I can make a good bowstring but it takes a while. A Chinese citizen could do just as good a job as I can and even better. But, the quality was poor. When I strung my Martin Savannah longbow, it was clear that the string was too short. Many of the older model bows (recurves specifically) will not accept the Fast-Flight strings. Having a string that fits into the string grooves on the limbs is essential. This string (mine was a 14 strand for a 50 lbs bow) is the exact string for this type of bow, e.g. Bear Kodiak Magnum, Bear Grizzly, or any of the older Bear bows. The quality is excellent. I received an AMO length longer than ordered, but this review is for the product. I’m very satisfied with the quality of the string. All strands are tight at full length so the tension at draw is equally shared by all strands. The string is fully waxed with tight servings at both ends and knocking area. Being longer than what I ordered Vs shorter, I’m able to use the string so I’ll not return it. With the quality and price of the string, I’ll order again as needed.

I couldn't install it but that was because I didn't have a restringer but my dad got it on with ease. It's durable too. That's my review.

I am very happy with these bow strings.However, it is unfortunate that you cannot see what size you are ordering. After you select the size and number of strands and click add to cart, the size information disappears. Great bowstring, but for one problem, lol. Not long enough for my bow. Would probably have been 5 stars, then. Prewaxed, tightly bound, care instructions in the bag, excellent first look, overall. Can't rate performance or longevity, but from handling it, I can tell that it's a quality product.

So, I got this for my the Bear bow that belonged to my grandfather and my middle son is currently using. He loves his bow and noticed the string was starting to fray. So, I found this replacement string on Walmart and got it to replace the damaged string. So far so good. The boy has been using it all weekend and has not complained about it. From the teenager, that is pretty high praise.
