Google and free download. There are problems installing on Windows 7. However, there is a workaround and solution. Please google. Make 2 new keys ONLY at Toyota Don't trust a locksmith! Finally happy with the purchase of Rav4 2009 in base

The problem with these keys is finding someone to cut and program them. Most hardware stores will only cut the keys you buy there (Ace, Home Depot, Menards, etc.). I found a local locksmith who would carve them for $2 each. I found another locksmith to program them for about $50 each so I was generally happy with the end result but I had to walk around/call a lot of places. Would I do it again, yes. These keys usually cost around $150 without programming, and the dealer charges even more. All…

Bad odds here for interior

I bought 2 HYQ12BBY compatible KeylessOption keyless ignition combo transmitters and cut them down for $10. Revain's instructions said they would work with a 2010 Yaris if there was a point based on the master key. The do-it-yourself programming didn't work, and the auto mechanics wanted $60 to $75 to try to program the transponder with no refund if it didn't work. I contacted the company and found out that HYQ12BBY is part of the FCCID number you need to make sure it's your key. I found mine…

Disappointed. Wrong door chip.

For my 2010 Yaris S liftback. They look good, good plastic, but they aren't as good and waterproof as the original. After work with a locksmith who came home to do some programming work. The remote chip for this car has 2 codes with different frequencies: - 1 for the door locks, programmed through a sequence of actions with the door, the key or the scanner. (The frequency of the remote control is not compatible with my car.) - 1 for the ignition switch, programmed by the scanner. (Remote…

Needs more info but will work

So my wife and I bought a 2010 Toyota RAV4 from the dealer but it has barely been used after 6,000 miles. The car only came with one key and when we first bought it I contacted Toyota to find out how much it would cost to add another key. They offered me $350 for the key, the process of cutting the key, and programming the key to start the ignition. Needless to say I had sticker shock at the time and decided not to buy it. Recently I started to worry about the possibility of losing a key. I…
