I cut the key but can't program it in Techstream. My original key has a G on it and I ordered the correct key, but it doesn't work. waste of money.

Indicates that the key has a "G" transponder chip. The chip is either not a "G" type or it is dead. Unusable as a key. The remote control buttons are programmed correctly.

They were cut out. To verify. truck programmed. Checked. Not started. I took it to a locksmith, they couldn't program it. Said there was no chip. They're not G-stamped, look like they don't have a chip. Time and money down the drain.

They're hard to find with the right FCC ID and chip for a 2008 Sequoia, but I bought it and it works great. I programmed it with TIS and cut it at a local shop for under $5. All buttons on the key fob work perfectly, including opening and closing the trunk! The range is also increased compared to the original two-part key. Small comfort improvement!

Programs both keys and wirelessly on Tundra 2010 with Techstream. It cannot be programmed otherwise, you must be able to program the immobilizer ECU. After, and only after you have programmed, you can cut the key, which is becoming increasingly difficult as large hardware stores have switched to automated systems.
