Kicker 43DSC4604 2 Way Speaker Pair Review

I bought these speakers for a clearer sound and some extra bass in my 1990 GMC single cab truck. I don't have a crazy soundboard or anything, nor does power go to these speakers, but after a month of use my left speaker is crackling and not sounding very good.

The speakers are very easy to install. Black lead wire is negative, all gray wires are positive. You'll have to drill new mounting holes, but that's very easy. They sound way better than the 18 year old speakers that came in the truck (01 Chevy Silverado 2500HD) and fit perfectly! Love them so far, longevity is key =-)

I installed them in the dash and rear pillars on my 1991 Silverado. Installation was easy and they sound good with my JVC head unit. Don't expect a lot of bass from ANY 4x6, but it's very crisp at high volumes. Later I will add a subwoofer to fill out the bass and I will have a nice well balanced system. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it without hesitation

I have been using Kicker speakers for a long time although this is my first 'new generation' speaker set. This is my 5th and 6th pair (bought a pair of 6.75 and 4x6 at the same time this round). Overall not bad. Good sound quality for this size. Significantly better than the factory speakers in the 93 S-10 Blazer. There may be better ones out there but for the price they won the battle. And I agree.

Fits Chevy C1500 Single Cab Truck 89. Front and rear speakers are the same size. You will receive 2 sets (including 2), total 4 speakers. Installation is relatively easy. Just take your time because the old plastic interior panels can crack if you're not careful. The sound is better than expected. They don't have the same base as the 6x9. Product works great! Perfect speaker replacement. If purchasing a 1997-06 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) you will need to either cut out the stock speakers and reuse the frame bracket or purchase a Metra 82-1011 as mounting hardware. These are not direct replacements. You can buy Wrangler speakers that come with new frames, but honestly they're around $100. Metra frames are $15 + these speakers, you save money.

Because there are many screw holes in the mounting brackets on these speakers it was easy to replace the 31 year old factory speakers in the dash of my 1991 3. / 4-ton Silverado pickup truck.
