After assembling the unit and leaving it in the room, we noticed that the room smelled badly. Not sure how long that will take. It is not acceptable to be children's furniture.

I love this bookcase. Very easy to assemble. I bought it for my granddaughter who is 2.5 years old but she can use it for a very long time. My husband thought the quality was good and very durable. I like it, very happy with my purchase.

The bookcase is amazing. my daughter loves it It's pretty strong and durable. One tip, read the instructions. I placed both ends on all of the shelves before realizing they needed to be folded in before placing the final end.

Superb bookcase. Definitely a must buy for your little one. I will add some Minnie Mouse decals to match her Minnie Mouse room. It holds a ton of books! My daughter had a whole box full of boxes plus some. I don't know if it was a good job, $134, but it's a good bookshelf.

We love KidKraft furniture. Our one year old has a kitchen and table with chairs in the same color so I wanted to add a bookshelf and am very happy. Everyone compliments the cute shape of the puzzle pieces, and she goes with all her books with the option to add more. I highly recommend. Easy to assemble - especially for mom. Matching the color of the screws to the paint color of the section is seriously my favorite thing to do. Get one today!

Good bookshelf for a child's room. My daughter loves the colors. I like that the shelves can be placed in any order. I was able to put it together myself, it took me an episode of Chopped to put it together (just under an hour lol). It was a bit more than I was willing to pay but I know it's for the design/aesthetic value. Seems very strong. Don't move or worry that the shelves won't withstand what we put on them.

Shelves look exactly as pictured. They are beautiful and very easy to assemble. However, pressed wood will crack and damage the paint if you apply too much pressure while tightening. So keep that in mind. However, there is one TERRIBLE aspect to this shelf: the color. The smell of paint (judging by the smell, I don't even know if it's safe for kids) is terrible. It's strong and will last DAYS, even with proper ventilation. Really disgusting.
