I really loved this look and it would be perfect for my child's room but I am very disappointed with the workmanship of this product. When assembling according to the instructions, the middle shelf quickly broke in two places. I then contacted kidcraft and they sent me a new middle shelf only for the same thing to happen again. The product description says "durable construction". I would say it's anything but that.

Oh my god, as soon as I brought the box into the house, I smelled a horrible smell. I assembled it and it is currently degassing. If the smell doesn't go away, it won't get into the children's room either! I think I can use it in the garage. Pretty expensive for a garage shelf. I wish I could get something from IKEA as several other reviewers have mentioned. Which I will probably do. Bottom line: if you're sensitive to awful chemical smells, stay away.
